During this 2 week practicum experience at NTUC My First Skool, I worked as an assistant teacher to a Kindergarten 2 class. Apart from helping out in routine care, I also got the opportunity to take part in the rehearsals and preparations leading up to the children's Graduation Concert.

As this was my first experience working in a preschool, it was truly an eye-opener for me. I was able to apply what I have learnt in school into a real-life setting and this provided me with practical learning experiences. I was also able to observe how other teachers interacted and conducted lessons with the children and this has helped me to gain a better understanding in the operations of a Preschool Centre.

I worked as an assistant teacher to a Nursery class during my 1 month practicum. During this period, I had the opportunities to plan and implement various lessons fror the children including Numeracy, Aesthetics and Creative Expression, as well as Music and Movement. Additionally, I had also carried out numerous observations on the children, which has helped me to reflect and evaluate the effectiveness of my lesson. At the end of one month, I designed a newsletter to document the children's learning and also went on my first field trip to the River Safari with the children.

Overall, this one month practicum has really provided me with an enriching learning experience and boosted my confidence in working with children. 

During this two-weeks event based job, I went to both Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic to promote the sale of Laptop Insurance for Acer. I also assisted customers in paperwork and payment procedures to uphold customer service standards as well as customer satisfaction.

Through this short two weeks, I was able to communicate and interact with people from various age groups and language backgrounds. This has allowed me to hone my communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, this experience has allowed me to present myself to others in a more confident and professional manner.
